Originally released in 2020 on Brent Pierce’s debut album, “Trout Gulch Stomp” is presented here in a newly remixed version. Written and produced by Brent Pierce, the track delivers a swampy country grass feel with a raw, roots driven edge that sets it apart.

Featured on lead guitar is Cody Kilby, whose authoritative flatpicking anchors the melody. Kilby earned multiple Grammy Awards as a member of Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder. Later with the Travelin’ McCourys is a two-time IBMA Guitar Player of the Year. His clean tone and traditional phrasing drive the tune with clarity and momentum.

On bass, Mark Fain provides the deep, steady foundation that holds the track together. A longtime member of Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Fain is a Grammy Award–winning bassist and respected Nashville producer, known for his rock solid time and tasteful musical instincts. His playing grounds the groove and gives the song its weight and pulse.

Brent Pierce also performs rhythm and fill guitar, banjo, and dobro, adding texture and movement throughout. The remix highlights the interplay between the musicians, giving “Trout Gulch Stomp” renewed energy while staying true to its original character.
